Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the organizational structure of Greek Municipal Sports Organizations and to classify them based on their organizational types. The sample consisted of eighty-four Municipal Sports Organizations/Companies/Sports Offices. The Sport Commission Organization Structure Survey questionnaire (SCOSS) was modified and translated in Greek, in order to be used for this survey. The Exploratory Factor Analysis for the aforementioned sample detected three factors: a) formalization, b) concentration, c) complexity with high reliability coefficients for all factors. The Confirmatory Factor Analysis revealed highly satisfactory indicators. Consequently, the model fitted the sample data quite well. The Cluster Analysis for the sample identified three basic groups of organizational characteristics. The results of this study verified the validity and the reliability of the SCOSS questionnaire and may be used by Municipal Sports Organizations/Companies/Sports Offices, in order to manage organizations effectively.

Abstract
The primary purposes of this study were to investigate: (a) the extent to which human resource empowerment is applied to Greek Municipal sport organizations, and (b) the correlation between human resource empowerment and organizational performance of Greek Municipal sport organizations. The study was a quantitative design using descriptive statistics, and Spearman correlation, to examine the purpose of the study. A sample of 120 directors of 30 Greek Municipal sport organizations in the region of Peloponnese was surveyed using a questionnaire. The results of the particular study indicated that the human resource empowerment process is applied to a large extent by Greek Municipal sport Organizations. Also, the present study supported that significant and positive correlations were found between human resource empowerment and organizational performance of Municipal sport organizations. This study is useful in extending the concept of human resource empowerment to sport sector.

Abstract
In the past few years, the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), the international governing body for football, had to deal with a number of challenges related to FIFA governance and mainly to FIFA leadership. As a result, a number of changes to FIFA governance have occurred, including the resignation of its previous leader immediately after his fourth re-election. The present article discusses the role and nature of previous and current leadership to FIFA governance as evidence of FIFA ‘modernization’ in the framework of global sport governance. in order to do so, it first discusses the notions of governance and leadership as applied in the case of FIFA. Then, it gives evidence of FIFA internal reform and FIFA cooperation with other football related international organizations in order to show the impact of modern global sport governance in football in terms of participation and reform. In the end, it discusses the prospects of FIFA as a continuous leader of world football.
